1. Are the estimates free?
Unlike some of our competitors, our careful project proposals are always FREE. We'll even meet you and inspect your project site for FREE!
2. Do you charge for first visit?
Never. We'll set up a time to meet you at your convenience. We'll arrive on time, listen to your concerns, ideas and we'll make suggestions. Then we take careful measurements; take photographs, and not your desired materials. When everything has been discussed, we'll get back to you quickly with the lowest possible estimate and best possible proposal for your job!
3. Do you work on weekends / public holidays?
Channel Construction does whatever it takes to get the job done on time. If we are on schedule with your project – which is something we always strive to do – then we will likely not need to work on the weekends. However, if it means getting the job done faster and to your highest standards, then we have been known to work on weekends and holidays if need be. This will be determined once we get your construction project underway.
4. How soon can you start the job?
Once you have approved the project proposal and estimate we provide, and made advance payment of 33% of the quoted estimate, we will start on the exact date stated in the proposal. This date can vary depending on the availability of desired materials, weather, etc. But, thanks to our large team of building experts and extensive inventory of equipment, we can start many jobs the very next day!
5. Why do we need permit from city/town?
Your city or town may require a permit for some types of jobs. Depending on the work being done, we may need to temporarily restrict access to city sidewalks and streets. Other areas such as historic districts have special regulations intended to preserve the character of the neighborhood. If you are unsure whether your project will require a permit, your best bet is to contact us. One of our helpful representatives will be happy to find out what permits you need!
6. Are you bonded?
Yes. At Channel Construction Corporation safety always comes first. We are licensed, insured and bonded in New York and New Jersey.
7. Do you warranty the job?
Yes. Every job we complete is warranted for 30 years. You deserve the peace of mind that you are paying for the highest quality work — work which we stand behind down the road.
8. What if the problem persists?
Some problems are unusual in nature. We make every attempt to correct your problem the first time around. And, no project is ever considered complete until you the customer signs off that the problem is fixed! That said, if something strange does happen and the problem comes back...just call us! We'll do everything we can to fix it for good.
9. Are your staff well trained and experienced?
Yes. We only hire the most experienced and best trained technicians and builders. And, every job is overseen and regularly inspected by qualified Project Supervisors.
10. If after your visit and submission of proposal, we do not assign you the contract, do you charge us for the visit / estimate?
Never. That would not be fair! We want your business, and we'll do everything we can to win it. But if you decide to go another route, no hard feelings, no charge, and we hope you check with us for another project further down the road!
11. Do you clean on daily basis?
Yes. We respect your property at all times. We will tidy up at the end of every work day, periodically providing major cleanups at each stage of the project. At the project's completion, we will perform a full clean-up. All waste is removed disposed of properly and recycled where possible.
12. Who shall remove the garbage / construction waste?
That's us! You have better things to do than take out our garbage. We promise to leave your site neat and tidy and ready for you to enjoy
